This couple had been together for one year and 4 months when Matt took Alycia on a four-wheeler ride to get to the proposed spot that Matt’s supportive mother and sister set up on their family property.
They met on “Mutual” back in August 2021. Alycia was in Provo attending school as a Communications major while Matt was planning on getting flight hours through the helicopter program at USU and was living in Ogden with his family. After a month of dating, Matt moved to Provo to be closer to her, and by December, they were engaged, picked Copper Nickel Events, and got married in March of 2022.
They picked Copper Nickel because of the beautiful space’s rustic and open layout, which made planning a lot easier for them. The colors for their big day were dusty pink and sage green with touches of burgundy. Alycia says “it was really cool to see all the hard work put together for a fun day!” They were able to make a lot of the things for their reception– Matt’s father was able to make their centerpieces and they were able to put together the charcuterie board themselves.
What was more impressive and unique about their wedding was Alycia’s grandfather was able to perform the marriage ceremony being the first grandkid to get married and the oldest granddaughter.
