The Spirit Soiree: Copper Nickel After Dark’s haunting and historic tour

The sun dips below the horizon, casting shadows over the historic streets of Ogden City. The days are shorter the nights are colder, and the smell of autumn hangs in the air.

The sun dips below the horizon, casting shadows over the historic streets of Ogden City. The days are shorter the nights are colder, and the smell of autumn hangs in the air.

During this fall season, Copper Nickel After Dark hosted a truly extraordinary event – The Spirit Soiree. A historic and supernatural tour that led participants to areas usually inaccessible to the public.

A tour of the Copper Nickel and the Browning Brother’s building: Historic buildings constructed in the early 1900s by the Browning family of Browning Guns. The Copper Nickel was built to serve as the Browning shooting range where firearms were prototyped and tested. The Browning Brother’s building served as the third and final sporting goods store before the Brownings focused solely on their firearms business. Employees have long since reported supernatural occurrences, footsteps and whispers in the dark, disembodied shadows, unnerving security cam footage, doors opening and closing, and lights turned on or off all by themselves.

Vlad Orfeo, Professional Medium: What made this tour so special was the incorporation of Vlad Orfeo. A talented professional medium for over 35 years, he gave participants the chance to communicate across the veil. Vlad spoke with multiple entities and gave a voice to those who no longer have their own. Exciting and at times frightening, the Spirit Soiree allowed guests to ask questions and converse with the spirits that still walk the halls of these beautiful old buildings.

Paranormal Hotspots: Throughout the tour, guests got a glimpse of the famed Ogden Tunnels, where bootlegging, smuggling, and crime ran rampant in the 1920s. They got to see the gorgeous Browning main hall from the mezzanine where the ghost of Jonathan Browning has often been seen late at night. Guests also got to stand in the Browning Brothers gun shop, where the 1911 handgun and M1919 machine guns were invented, designed, and developed. These guns played a pivotal role during World War II in securing victory for the United States and its allies.

An Unforgettable Journey:

The Spirit Soiree was a captivating journey that blurred the lines between the living and the dead. Though guests felt heavy emotions and encountered eerie moments, the experience was an unforgettable fusion of fear, fun, and excitement that created a deeper appreciation for these significant and historical places.

Look forward to the next adventure that Copper Nickel After Dark has in store, as we continue to explore the enigmatic and enchanting.
