Our Wax. Wix. Sip. Galentine’s event honestly felt like one of those nights that just quietly stays with you.
It wasn’t loud or overly styled. It was soft, girly, and very coquette in the most effortless way. Everyone showed up in their cutest PJ’s, and right away it didn’t feel like an “event” anymore. It felt more like a sleepover where everyone just showed up to slow down for a bit and be comfortable.
The candle painting was such a moment. Watching everyone sit down and start creating was honestly one of the favorite parts of the event. Some were really focused, some were laughing the whole time, some were just figuring it out as they went. But everyone ended up with something that felt a little personal to them. It was simple, but in a way that made people naturally slow down without even trying.
There was also a lot of eating, sipping, and just talking. The kind of conversations that don’t feel planned. Just easy yapping, catching up, meeting new faces, laughing at random things. It had that comfort where nobody is trying too hard, and that’s what made it feel real.
We had a chick flick playing in the background, but at some point it kind of just blended into everything else happening in the room. The night wasn’t really about watching the movie. It was more about being in it with everyone else around you.
And during the photo hour, people lined up at the backdrop, fixing hair, pulling friends closer, laughing right before the shot. Those small moments were probably best to watch. The kind of photos that don’t feel posed, just real memories caught at the right time.
It was simple. Cozy. Soft in the best way.
And honestly, it felt like something we all needed without even realizing it.
